26th annual International AIDS Candlelight Memorial - May 17th

You are invited to join the community of Southern New Mexico for the 26th annual International AIDS Candlelight Memorial on Sunday May 17, 2009.

The Candlelight Memorial is the largest and oldest grassroots mobilization campaign for HIV/AIDS awareness in the world. The purpose is to honor all those affected and infected by the AIDS pandemic, as well as to educate about HIV/AIDS and the prevention of HIV/AIDS.

The Memorial, sponsored by Camino de Vida Center for HIV Services will be held in the pavilion at Young Park in Las Cruces , NM beginning at 7:00pm. Because of your compassion for people living with HIV/AIDS we invited you to offer a few remarks on how it has impacted your life and/or what can be done to prevent HIV/AIDS.

In 2008, some 2000 memorials were held in 115 countries around the world. Please join us on May 17th as we join communities around the world as we remember those we have lost and dedicating ourselves to fight for a WORLD WITHOUT AIDS.
